Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare 100% list

Before we start, I will tell you a little bit about every zombie type. They are:

Fresh undead:

They are the kind of zombies that you would normally see in movies and series. They are the only one who can grapple the player and if they get their hands on you, they can kill you or hurt you real bad, so watch out. They normally come in groups of four or five. These kind of zombies doesn't look dangerous, but they are. In most challenges, these zombies are the ones you want to take.

Retchers:

Retchers are the zombies who will go after you and smell disgusting. They will glow green, and most of the time, they will try to shot some kind of green mass at you. When you kill them, you should stay away, cause when they get killed, they will land on the ground and explode. This explosion can (or in some cases will) kill the player. Retchers can be found everywhere.

Bolters:

When a Bolter sees the player, the Bolter will automatically go down on all 4 and crawl after the player like some kind of giant spider. If they get their hands on the player, it will begin to bite and claw. This makes Bolters very dangerous when in hordes. When they walk on their feet, they are seen as the slowest zombies in the game. They can sometimes be hard to see, cause they sometimes crawl in the tall grass. The player can still target him with his gun, but the player will have a hard time seeing it.

Bruisers:

These zombies are tough as hell. They can be seen very easily, but take them out first. The reason you should take them out first is that they will try to knock you down. And if they do, other zombies can come and take you. You'll be meat for them. They have stamina bigger than the other zombies. When they walk, they are as slow as a mot******ker. They are pretty dangerous and as other zombies, they'll die of a headshot. Bruisers are the fat zombies.

This is what the game requires for the player to get 100%:

1. All 8 story missions completed.
2. All missing souls saved (10 in Fort Mercer and 6 in El Presidio) (16 combined).
3. All 5 survivor missions (side missions) completed.
4. All 5 graveyards cleaned (through the game, all 5 graveyards will be cleaned, so there's no need to stress with this one. They will be cleaned trough story missions).
5. 2 outfits collected (a specific 2 is needed to get 100% complete).
6. All locations saved at least once. They do not have to be saved at the same time.
7. Complete all 4 challenges. That is: hunting, 4 horses of the apocalypse, treasure and sharpshooting.

Challenges:

Sharpshooter:

Rank 1:
Kill 5 undead in 10 seconds using a gun.

This challenge is probably one of the easiest challenges in the game. What you should do here is find a big group of zombies and then use dead eye. Use dead eye, point at their heads and shoot. If you don't pull it off in the start of the game, then this is most easily done in Gaptooth Ridge. You'll get dead eye item when this challenge is completed

Rank 2:
Headshot 10 undead in a row.

This one can be a bi**h. There are many ways to do this one. Easiest ways are probably:
1. Stand in one spot, when the zombies come at you, you headshot them.
2. Sometimes, there will be three or two guys standing behind crates, when you find them, just take out the zombies yourself.
3. Run in to a bunch of zombies.
4. Stand on something that the zombies can't reach, like a roof or something, then, when they have gone together in a cluster, headshot them.
5. You’ll get ammo and dead eye item when this challenge is completed.

Rank 3:
Kill 5 flaming undead in one dead eye meter.

This challenge is quite easy. What you do is you go to fort mercer, help Nigel West Dickens. When that is done you will get something called the phosphorus coating. When this is achieved, go to Gaptooth Ridge or to Jorge's Gap in New Austin. Equip phosphorus, go into dead eye, point at their heads and pull the trigger. You will get this in no time if you just know what to do. There is a harder way do. That is to save Thieves Landing from a zombie attack. You will then get fire bottles. Throw it at a group of zombies and pull the trigger. I highly recommend using the phosphorus coating. You'll get ammo when this challenge is completed

Rank 4:
Kill one of each of the four undead types in one dead eye meter.

This challenge is most easily done by going to either Fort Mercer or El Presidio. The easier is probably to go to El Presidio. You will see a lot of zombies around there. Shoot them and rank done. Allot of times, you will point at two of the same zombies. What you want to do for this challenge is to look for design. Looking for design is the smartest you can do for this challenge. Either that, or you can just go to El Presidio, fire at will with dead eye, if you screw up, you shoot them with a cannon. When the zombies respawn, try again. You don't have unlimited dead eye, so be quick. You'll get Holy Water when this challenge is completed. If the player has not yet unlocked holy water, he/she will get ammo.

Rank 5:
Get 5 undead sniper kills in 8 seconds. You can not use dead eye.

Even do this challenge seem hard, it's very easy. Long shots count, close counts. What you should do is go to some location like Jorge's Gap, or El Presidio, or Fort Mercer. Something like that. You could probably find a big group of zombies to. Anyway. Go into the group of zombies in Jorge's Gap or something and pull the trigger. If you do it right, you'll see an animation where Marston pulls a sniper up to his head and fires. That's one, then quickly move on to the next one, do the same and you will have the rank in no time :). You will get the Carcano Rifle and the Mauser Pistol when this challenge is completed

Challenge:

Treasure:

You will have to find a map on a camp before you can start this. You can find the camp anywhere in the game.

Red ring = treasure 1
Orange ring = treasure 2
Black ring = treasure 3
Green ring = treasure 4
Blue ring = treasure 5

Between: Agave Viejo

Challenge:

Hunting:

Rank 1:
Kill 100 fresh undead and 25 bolters.

To get this challenge, you will need to look out for two specific zombie types. Normal undead and Bolters. Normal undead are those kind of undead who you'll find walking around everywhere. Easiest location to find them before you get to Mexico, is either outside Fort Mercer or Warthington Ranch. Easiest places to find bolters before Mexico are either outside Fort Mercer or Warthington Ranch. The easiest place to find them in Mexico is right outside El Presidio. If you play the single player campaign, you'll get to a mission called ''the gates of el presidio''. Right outside that fort is a good place to haunt zombies cause they are endless.

Rank 2:
Kill 25 more Bruisers and 15 more Retchers.

To get this challenge, you will need to look out for two specific zombie types. Bruisers and Retchers. Bruisers are the big, fat, ugly bastards that can knock you down easily. When they see you, and if you get to close, they will run at you and try to knock you down. They are dangerous. Retchers are the zombies you'll see anywhere and that are glowing green. When they see you, they will try to shoot green mass at you. Not that dangerous, but dangerous enough. Stand on the tower you'll see in the single player campaign mission ''the gates of El Presidio'' and bang, bang, bang. Or you could go to Fort Mercer and do this challenge, or you could go to the Warthington Ranch and give zombies hell. This way is a little tricky cause of wolves always attacking you and such.

Rank 3:
Use a single explosion of a Retcher to kill 2 other undead.

What you need to do for this challenge is that you need to kill two other zombies with a single explosion from a Retcher. Sounds easy, is sometimes a bitch. The hard part about this challenge is not to kill the Retcher, but to get the zombies to stay so close, they will get killed. When you shoot a Retcher, he will land on the ground and explode. There are two ways to do this. It's either the easy way or the hard way. Hard way is to run into a group of zombies. The hard thing about running into a crowd of zombies is that the zombies will attack you, and you will lose a lot of health. Then the Retcher explodes and you are dead. He will probably kill two other zombies, but because of you dying, you won't get it. There may be a glitch that makes you get it anyways, I don't know. The easy way is to go to Mexico, stand on El Presidio (the tower you see in the single player campaign mission ''the gates of El Presidio''. Stand up there and give them hell :). You could to try to get this trophy at the Warthington Ranch or Fort Mercer, but it is most easily done on the tower in Mexico.

Rank 4:
Kill 2 undead bears, 5 undead wolves and 3 undead cougars using a torch.

This challenge is kind of hard because of the cougars and the bears. What I rec8ommend doing on this challenge is taking out the easiest first. Wolves first, bears and cougars later. The wolves are all over the map. Very easy to kill. Little bit hard do, because if you hit them sometimes, they will try to run away. I recommend using a horse for this whole challenge. Bears can only be found in the Tall Trees area. They are very hard to kill if you don't use a horse, cause they will strike back. They are zombies, but they still have a brain somehow. Kill them fast and it will be easy. I recommend using one of the horses from the 4 horses of the apocalypse for this part of the challenge. Cougars are the hardest to kill, cause they will instantly fight back, just if they see you. It takes time to kill it. They are like the wolves; they will try to run away after a few hits with the torch.

Rank 5:
Find and kill a Chupacabra - A mythical creature.

The Chupacabra is a mythical creature that you need to kill to get 100%. He's a hyena that is very fast. The creature can be found anywhere in Mexico, but it's most commonly found in the area North of Torquemada. I myself found it on the way to a challenge area where I did a challenge. It may spawn somewhere in the desert for all I know. The creature can only be found in Mexico do, so America has Weird horses, while Mexico has a unicorn and a Chupacabra. There is only one Chupacabra on the game.

Challenge:

Four horses of the apocalypse:

War:

Locations: Between Benedict Point,  Tumbleweed and Gaptooth Breach, Outside Ridgewood Farm, Cholla Springs, around and near Thieve's Landing, around and near Hanging Rock, around and near Mescalero, around and near Jorge's Gap, around and near Fort Mercer, around and near Armadillo, around and near Pike's Basin, around and near MacFarlane's Ranch.

War is a horse that burns. It will burn any enemy it crosses. Crosses a zombie, zombie eliminated. This horse is the ultimate flamethrower. Not only does it put fire to one zombie, it can set fire to a whole group. It is not invincible, but it can take a lot. Red crosses = War locations

Pestilence:

Locations: Tall Trees, around and near Nekoti Rock, between Manzanita Post and Aurora Basin, between Aurora Basin and Nekoti Rock, Great Plains.

Pestilence is a white horse that is surrounded by a green miasma. Hard to kill. Very fast. Won't kill enemies, but stun them on contact. Black crosses = Pestilence locations.

Famine:

Locations: between Chuparosa and Tesoro Azul, northwest of Torquemada, between Las Hermanas, Sepuldro and Agave Viejo, around and near Manzanita Post.

Famine is a horse surrounded by locusts. Hard to kill. Very fast. Green crosses = Famine locations

Death:

You can find Death after rank 4 of the 4 horses of the apocalypse. This is one way to get it, or you can get it after the game. This is the only ways to find this horse. The safest is probably to get it after rank 4.

Death is a horse that will splatter the zombie's heads when they get in touch. Death is probably the most deadly of the horses and will kill zombies instantly.

Rank 5:
Kill one of each type of undead using Death's power.

Go either to Warthington Ranch, Fort Mercer or El presidio and just run over zombies. This one is easy as hell if you just know where to look.

At the start, you’ll see a sequence where Mr. Marston is driving home. Jack and Abigail are talking and stuff.

They begin to wonder where uncle is. In the middle of the night. Uncle returns as a zombie and tries to eat

Abigail. Abigail escapes outside and John runs to get his gun. Abigail gets bit and you shoot Uncle. Then

Jack gets bit and you need to hogtie Jack and Abigail. He gets his clothes on. Now, get on that horse and

ride to Blackwater. In blackwater you'll meet MacDougal. He gets bitten by the Nastas. Shoot both in the

head and continue to your next U marker on the map. When you get here, you'll meet a girl saying ''zombies

took my family'' or something. When you talked to her, you have to go up to the BlackWater Graveyard and

burn some coffins. Then, zombies will then crawl out of their graves. Open fire and it should be clean in no

time. You can probably use a torch to do this. After this, go back to BlackWater. Now, you have to save

BlackWater from zombies. There are two ways to do this. You can either shoot all zombies, or you could

give the two men ammo. You see where they are on the map. That is sniper rifle ammo do. When this is

done. Follow the U on the map. Go to it and you'll see a family that talks about ''we saw our daughter get

eaten by a zombie'' and stuff. After this sequence, search the big green marked area on the map for more

survivors. When you find them, they think you are an undead. All soon run off cause one of them gets eaten

by a zombie. Then, go to the closest U on the map (that is right beside the train tracks in to Mexico. There you

will meet your old friend Seth Briars. He will tell you to clean out three graveyards in New Austin. Go and

clean them out. They will be marked as green skulls. When this is done, ride to the other U on your map.

You meet West Dickens and you will have to collect plants for him. First, go to Gaptooth Ridge and collect

5 Desert Sage. This can be a little bit tricky, cause of all the zombies around there. When Desert Sage has

been collected, go to tall trees and collect 5 Violet Snowdrops. They randomly spawn anywhere up there, so

be on the lookout all the time. When you have collected 5 Violet Snowdrops and 5 Desert Sage, go back to

Nigel West Dickens and deliver. Then go to Riley's Charge and pick up some old part/parts. After that is

done, go to the big W on the map (the W indicates Nigel West Dickens) and deliver. Then the game will say

that Nigel will use some time to find a way to get into Mexico. When you get a big W on the map, ride your

horse over to it to start the next mission. When you are there, you will be talking to Nigel. He tells you how

to get into Mexico. Look at your map until you see a marked location. When you find it, go there, kill all the

zombies, and get your outfit. Then, go to the train station and get on the train. Shoot every zombie you see

and the train will soon stop. After this, get back on the train and release the brakes. Congrats. You're now in

Mexico. Now, ride to the big U on the map. You will meet a nun called Mother Superior right outside a

town. Save the town behind you and go back to the Mother Superior. When you’re done talking to her this

time, bring her an undead. Then, go to the skull on your map and clean out the graveyard (it is the skull in

Mexico). When this is done, go back to Mother Superior and talk to her in the church (the church is inside

the town you just saved). After this, walk to the R on your map (in Mexico) and kill Reyes by shooting him in

the head. Now, walk into the catacombs and kill all zombies that comes in your way. Soon, you'll come to

the end, kill all zombies and place the mask back. You will then see a cutscene. Seth will steal the mask and

John will return as a zombie. You have now beaten undead nightmare. The zombies will still attack you do,

but you are a zombie :).
